RICHLAND, Wash;-- The local Freedom Warriors group celebrates a one-year anniversary of the modern TEA Party movement.
This afternoon group members called the TEA Party birthday a hit as people came to John Dam Plaza in Richland to share stories and talk about the future of the freedom warriors.
Also making an appearance at the party today was state representative Larry Haler who came down from Olympia to spend time with the group.
"It's great to be here," Haler said. "I just dropped by to say hello to some friends who are deeply involved in the TEA Party movement and it's just great to be home for a day from the legislative session."
The Freedom Warriors split off from the original Tri-Cities TEA party group recently.
