Monday Morning Weather Update: April Showers Bring May Flowers, Right?!
Monday: Sky turns cloudy and stays that way for most of Monday. Even a few very light sprinkles are possible ahead of a cold front that arrives tonight. Despite the clouds, temperatures will be quite mild & pleasant as warm air surges in from the south. High: 66° (Green)
Monday Night: The aforementioned cold front arrives around midnight Monday night. That will bring some rain along the front line as it moves from west to east. Temps stay mild overnight. Low: 45° (Yellow)
Tuesday: After the cold front moves through we are opened up to plenty of wet weather coming off the Pacific. Expect moderate rain through Tuesday morning. Turning more over to showers Tuesday afternoon/evening. Winds also start to kick up with gusts possible near 30mph. Temps drop between 10-20° after the cold front. High: 52° (Yellow)
Looking Ahead: I know were well into Spring now, but with a wet week ahead, and cooling temperatures there IS a chance some northern valleys catch some snow showers this week. The best chance looks to be late Tuesday night/early Wednesday morning as temps approach freezing. Best chance for some light snow accumulations look to be parts of Ferry, Stevens, Pend Oreille, Boundary and Bonner Counties.
