Giving with the Angel Tree in Kennewick

Posted: Updated:

The Salvation Army is asking for your time and your donations for their Angel Tree. The tree is at the Columbia Center Mall.

You can pick up a tag that says boy or girl, the child's age, and a list of what they would like for Christmas. Then, you buy one of the gifts and return it to the Salvation Army.

Salvation Army Captain Raymond Erickson-King says they appreciate the gifts but also would appreciate your time.

He said, "We've got some volunteers that come in year after year but, we are in need of some volunteers at the end of the holiday season. So give us a call, and we can plug you in."

Erickson-King says the Salvation Army has helped out about 1,800 kids this year.

If you want to donate, drop by their table at the Columbia Center Mall and if you want to volunter, call 509-943-7977, extension 101.
