Dart Tournament is Last Water Follies Event

RICHLAND, Wash-- The last day in the river for Water Follies was last weekend, but there's still the Steel Tip Dart Tournament.

People from across the Northwest are competing in what they call a pastime everyone can enjoy.

It's the 27th Annual Steel Tip Dart Tournament. The tournament's director says anyone can learn to throw darts. You just need to have good hand-eye coordination.

"We run some tournaments in local bars that people are more than welcome to come shoot see if they like it or not. That's how most of us got started," said Jeff Hunter, event coordinator.

Fifty-four dart throwers competed in the first event last night. The tournament is one of the largest dart throwing events in the northwest. It attracts people from Seattle, Portland, and Boise.
