KENNEWICK, Wash. - A woman in a wheelchair is hit by a car in Kennewick and the driver didn't stick around after the crash.
Kennewick Police say the accident happened on 10th Avenue near South Garfield Street just after 10:00 P.M. last night.
48-year-old Dianna Law was riding her motorized wheelchair in the parking lane on 10th Avenue. She pulled into oncoming traffic to go around some parked cars. Law was then hit, and the driver of a white SUV then drove off, leaving the injured women and her wheelchair on the road.
She was taken to Kennewick General Hospital to be treated for her injuries. Law has since been released from the hospital. Her husband says she didn't suffer any broken bones and is O.K.
Kennewick Police don't know the make or model of the white SUV but believe there should be notable damage on the passenger side of the vehicle.
