Richland, WA- You may have noticed a lot of Richland city offices opened late this morning.
That's because the city was honoring its employees at its annual appreciation breakfast.
City hall recognized workers celebrating their anniversaries as Richland employees. Among them, Marsha Campbell, who retired today after 30 years. Campbell says her retirement plans include sleeping in, and, "doing just whatever I want to do. That's the fun of it. That's what I've been looking forward to."
Not all city workers could attend the breakfast. Police, fire, and other emergency service workers had to remain on duty, and the city landfill opened at its usual time.
All city workers were back on the job by ten this morning.
