Two children struck by vehicle at Dean and Maple

SPOKANE, Wash. - Spokane Police have cleared the scene at Maple and Dean where two children where struck by a vehicle Sunday afternoon.

Police say two children, who appear to be around the ages of 10 to 12, where crossing Maple when they were struck by a red Subaru heading northbound.  Both were transported to Sacred Heart Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.

The northbound lanes of the Maple St. Bridge where closed for about a half and hour while police investigated the collision.

No word on if anyone has been cited in connection with the collision.
