Kennewick Irrigation District Board Chooses Interim Manager
Kennewick, Wash. -- The Kennewick Irrigation District has a new manager just two days after firing Doug Grover from the position.
The district board held an executive session Thursday morning to interview applicants. Three people applied and they picked Scott Revell, the only one who already works at KID. Revell has been the district planner for about two years. He says he'll be glad to go back to that position once they find a permanent manager.
"Knowing it was temporary was probably the most attractive feature of it", said Revell. "I have worked for a long time in city and county government. I'm more than willing to step in in the interim, but in the long term it's not the career for me".
All five board members voted for Revell. They are still refusing to comment on why Doug Grover was fired.
