California kidnapping victim found in Coeur d'Alene
COEUR D'ALENE, Idaho - Sheriff's deputies in Kootenai County rescued a kidnapping victim from California on Friday, and took the suspected abductor into custody.
The Sheriff's department from Tulare county in southern California "pinged" the cell phone belonging to the victim and determined she was at an address near the 4300 block of Bourbon Street in Coeur d'Alene. Deputies found the 35-year-old woman with 46-year-old Michael H. Luhdorff, who was arrested on a charge of Second Degree Kidnapping.
According to the Sheriff's department in Kootenai County, Luhdroff has been a suspect in previous kidnappings in California and has an extensive history for narcotics and theft violations.
