PASCO, Wash-- After Friday's Sharefest kick-off, it was time for 32 local churches to get their hands dirty.
On Saturday morning we met up with members of Bethel Church at the Volunteer Park in Pasco. Close to two dozen volunteers showed up bright and early to help build a gazeebo. One event coordinator tells us rain or shine, the group was determined to give back to the community.
"The bolts that hold the main verticle stands were put in earlier this week, but everything you see by way of steel has gone up since 6 o'clock this morning," says Scott Chambers.
This was just one of many Sharefest projects throughout the Tri-Cities over the weekend. In all, close to 110 projects have been planned.
