OAKSDALE, Wash. - The recent rain and snow melt have caused some low level flooding in the Tekoa area. Right now Highway 27 is closed to traffic from Tekoa city limit to Oaksdale.
Hydrologists at the National Weather Service in Spokane say they don't foresee the warm spell or rain to continue very long, therefore they are not worried about major flooding in the area.
Residents in the area have been monitoring water levels, they say this type of flooding has already happened several times this year.
No word when the road will re-open to traffic.
