Sportsman's Warehouse Gift Cards Expire at End of Month
KENNEWICK, Wash-- March 31st is the deadline to use up those giftcards to some Sportsman's Warehouse stores if you haven't already.
The Kennewick store was bought out by UFA Holdings just over a week ago. We talked with the manager of the Kennewick branch. He tells us 23 stores nationwide are liquidating, and more than half of those are in the Pacific Northwest.
There was question as to whether UFA Holdings would uphold any gift cards, but the company has decided to give shoppers some transition time to use them up.
"UFA made that decision in an effort to take care of customers," says Kennewick store manager Brian Howald. "They had been negotiating with Sportsman's Warehouse corporation office to try and find a way to take care of the customers. Sportsman's Warehouse issued those gift cards originally to the customers. UFA Holdings did not."
It is illegal in Washington for gift cards to expire in most cases, but it does appear, in this case, it is legal.
Also note, 29 stores are still owned by Sportsman's Warehouse, and you can use a gift card through those stores.
