Public Career Fair at WSU Tri-Cities Attracts All Ages
RICHLAND, Wash-- College graduation is almost a month away at WSU Tri-Cities and KNDU checked out the college's career fair to see how students are doing trying to find jobs in a tougher economy.
The average age of a student at the Tri-Cities campus is 27 years old, so it's not your typical college kid looking for a job.
Companies like PNNL, Kadlec Medical Center, and the IRS were looking for new employees.
One employer gave some ideas on what not to do when going to an interview.
"If you don't come prepared for the interview don't come and the reason is you should know the background of your employer and at least have some information on who they are and what they do," said Craig Bolling, Waddell & Reed Financial Advisor.
Other companies like Energy Northwest were at the career fair looking for summer interns because WSU classes end on May 11th.
