KENNEWICK, Wash. - The Tri-Cities Fever have their home opener Friday night against Boise. New coach Richard Davis has 20 players on the roster, fourteen of them are brand new to arena football. "We're a developmental league," said Davis. "I don't think it's a bad thing to bring in a bunch of rookies. If you trust your skills as a teacher and if you think you can educate your kids in the nuances of the game, then having rookies is not a bad thing. Rookie or veteran, it doesn't matter. I think we have the best players we could possibly find physically. I like this bunch." The team is 0-1 after losing at Central Valley Friday.
