Goodman is Back for Fever Home Opener

Posted: Updated:

KENNEWICK, Wash. -- The Tri-Cities Fever went through their final walk through Thursday before Friday's home opener with Boise.

And with the return of Fever star reciever Phil Goodman, the Fever hope things are looking up. Goodman was arrested in the middle of last season on a drug-related warrant. He had to go back to his hometown of Vallejo, California to deal with the case and pay over $10,000 in fines. He missed the Fever's 1st game against Central Valley as he continued to try and clean-up the situation.

But, he says, he is trying to put the whole situation behind him and move on.

He says, "We got to shine a new light on this organization. I mean a lot of things have happened in the past, including what happened with me. It put this [organization] in a bad situation and right now we are about to turn things around. Coach Davis has come in with an emphasis on character and the team and we are just going to do what we got to do to show these fans that we are going to put up some wins this year."
