KENNEWICK, Wash-- A Kennewick woman celebrates in her 101st birthday with friends and family.
Ora Parker says it was her first birthday, because she says it starts all over again after 100. What was supposed to be a two year move to the Tri-Cities turned into 64 years. Parker says the area has grown a ton since she first made the move.
"It was terrible," she laughed. "The houses had no paint on them. There were mint fields. They smelled good, but we weren't going to stay here. We were going back to Montana or Coeur d'Alene or wherever."
It didn't take long for her to start calling the Tri-Cities home. Now she says she's quite fond of it.
