PULLMAN, Wash. -- The Cougare were in action this weekend, hitting the field at Martin Stadium for their first full contact workout of the spring.
It's been a long offseason for the Cougars, waiting to get back on the field and redeem a 2-11 record last year.
But with the first week of practice in the books and the pads finally on for good, the Cougars are excited about the progress they've made so far.
Cougars Head Coach Paul Wulff said, "It's been a good week just because of, just getting out here on the field and seeing all the players that have gotten bigger and stronger. And we've done a good job of working hard these first few practices and each day getting a little bit better."
Cougars Linebacker B.J. Guerra said, "Compared to last year, at this point, we're a lot closer. We all want to head in the same direction and we are working towards that right now."
