Webster Jury Selection Goes For Fourth Day

Posted: Updated:
Pasco, WA- Attorneys continue to pare down the number of potential jurors in the trial of a convicted felon accused of raping a cellmate inside the Franklin County Jail.

David Webster is acting as his own attorney, with a court appointed advisor at his side.

Webster is serving 26 years at the state penitentiary in Walla Walla for trying to hire a hit man to kill his girlfriend.

Today Webster and the prosecutor interviewed about another two dozen prospective jurors from a pool of more than 100.

Superior Court Judge Cameron Mitchell is asking all potential jurors if it would be a financial hardship for them if the trial lasted as long as a month.

Attorneys anticipate to whittle down the list of prospective jurors by mid-week.
