YAKIMA, Wash. - The recent rise in warmer weather may have you craving a cool drink or dessert and the Museum Soda Fountain is extending its hours just in time for the temperature change.

The working exhibit is right next to the Yakima Valley Museum on 2105 Tieton Drive.  The place has been open for the past month offering everything from sundaes to sandwiches as well as other old fashioned treats.  The Soda Fountain has some of the actual equipment and furniture found in a Yakima drug store from back in the 1930s.

Their hours for the spring are 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Saturday.  Starting April 13, they will begin summer hours and stay open until 7:00 p.m. each day.

You can learn more about the place by visiting or by calling (509)457-9810 www.yakimavalleymuseum.org .
