KENNEWICK, Wash.-- The Joe's Sporting Goods store on Canal drive will be closing for good.
Staff there say two days ago they were told the store was bought by liquidators and will be shutting down.
One of the managers says there's about 55 employees that will be out of work. But no one has been laid off yet.
On Friday liquidators from Gordon Brothers in Boston will come in and sales will begin with 10%-30% off. Staff at the store have been told it could take between 45 and 60 days.
Managers say sales at the Kennewick store have been steady in the last few months.
"It's through no fault of this store, everybody here has worked very very hard, we've been very successful and then to just lose it all is just very upsetting, 55 people are going to be looking," said Loy Hibbs, Manager at the Joe's in Kennewick.
All 31 stores in Oregon, Washington, and Idaho will be closing. The company filed for bankruptcy back in March.
If you have a Joe's gift card it must be used by April 25th. Joe's credit cards haven't been affected.
