KENNEWICK, Wash. - FFA students at Kamiakin High School put the pencil and paper aside today and got some hands on experience.
They helped the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Department stock the Columbia Park Family Fishing Pond with rainbow trout.
The students raised about 500 of them in the classroom and it was time to let them go.
"We've raised them for a few months now, from little babies and some of them are pretty epic," said Drew Folley, FFA student.
Fish and Wildlife employees loaded the fish into a hatchery truck then released them into the pond.
