Kennewick Convenience Store Burglarized, ATM Machine Stolen and Alarm Disabled
KENNEWICK, Wash-- Thousands of dollars are stolen from a Kennewick convenience store and that's just the beginning of the story. It happened at Grand Central Coffee Station on West Clearwater over the weekend.
Kennewick Police say when an employee was opening the store up Sunday morning she found this back door was wide open and once inside she saw that burglars had hit Grand Central Coffee Station.
The manager believes they broke into the store sometime after they were closed on Saturday and police found no signs of forced entry meaning they didn't break any locks or windows.
Also the suspects disabled the alarm system cut phone lines, and moved two security cameras. They stole $6,500 in cash from the store's safe. Also they physically took the ATM machine, which had $2,400 in cash.
"I feel like someone invaded our space almost, I'm really terrified that someone is watching us. It happened at night, after we closed so someone could have been watching us leave the building and I'm just really terrified and scared," said Molly Morrison, Store Manager.
The manager says they do not want to speculate that this could have been an inside job. Police say they have no suspect descriptions and if you have any information please call police immediately.
