Shooting in Kennewick: Suspect on the Loose, Victim Not Found
KENNEWICK, Wash-- Shots are fired at about 8:30 pm Monday on West Fifth Ave. in East Kennewick. At this time police say they have not found the victim or suspect.
The shooting happened in Sunny Slopes on Fifth Ave, right off Vancouver Street. A neighbor called police saying a man entered her home bloody and had gun shot wounds in his arm. He asked for a towel and to use the phone then he took off.
Once police got there they saw a trail of blood in the street. They learned there was an initial argument at a house at 1924 Fifth Ave.
The victim was shot ran across the street to a vacant home and was shot again on the porch. Police saw blood all over the front door and bullet holes. They searched the surrounding area and still have no sign of the male suspect or the man who was shot.
"At this point we don't have a victim and we don't have suspect. It appears right now, our complainants didn't know any of the people involved with this. So far the investigation is in its infancy," said Ofc. Stan Howard, Kennewick Police Department.
Police say if the victim does not get to a hospital soon he could bleed to death. If you have any information please call police immediately.
