Brockman is Huskies' MVP for 2008-09 men's basketball season

SEATTLE (AP) - For the third straight season tonight, forward Jon Brockman was honored as the MVP of the University of Washington men's basketball team.
The 6-foot-7 senior from Snoqualmie also received the Marv Harshman Trophy as the team's top rebounder for the fourth season in a row.
Senior guard Justin Dentmon received the Hec Edmundson Most Inspirational Award and shared the Most Improved Player Award with junior forward Quincy Pondexter.
Sophomore guard Venoy Overton was honored as the John Meyers Defensive Player of the Year and received the Wurster Award as the team's top hustler, while freshman guard Isiah Thomas was given the team's Playmaker Award.
Washington posted a 26-9 record during the 2008-09 season, taking the Pac-10 regular-season title with a 14-4 mark to return to the NCAA tournament after a 2-year absence.
