KENNEWICK, Wash. - There's a big monkey on the Tri-Cities Fever back. It's the no-win monkey, and the players want it gone. Their latest shot at the win column comes Saturday when they host 3-1 South Georgia. Things are certainly not clicking yet for the 0-3 Fever. Their scoring average is just 28.3 points per game, dead last in the AF2. They lost to Spokane Saturday 62-32. This team is fed up. "I'm not used to being 0-3," said QB Joe Ayoob. "Nobody on this team is used to it and nobody likes it. We're all working to get that first victory and once we get that first one out of the way we can start rolling a little bit." We want the first win and we want it bad," said LB Ben Alexander. "We want the number one spot, we want to make the playoffs. We want to play for respect."
