Two Richland Coaches Resign

RICHLAND, Wash. -  Bombers girls  soccer coach Chris Smith is retiring to spend more time with his growing family.   Over his 16 years as head coach, Smith had a whopping 213 wins and just 33 losses with four final four appearances and two state championships.
He had served in the soccer program since 1993, when he started as an assistant.  Smith alsp played RHS soccer in 1987, the first year it was a varsity sport. 
Not only has Coach Smith coached girls on to success on the field, but he was also an integral part in the construction of the play field itself, along with the surrounding structures. 
His most notable pupil was World Cup and Olympic star Hope Solo.
Also on Thursday, Richland announced girls basketball coach Bruce Robertson resigned for personal reasons.
