KENMORE, Wash. (AP) - A tugboat that sank at the northeast end of Lake Washington near Kenmore, Wash., has been refloated, but officials say they're still not sure what caused it to go down.
The state Department of Ecology says about 40 to 50 gallons of diesel fuel was spilled during Saturday's sinking. Ecology spokesman Dan Partridge told KOMO-TV that most of the fuel in the vessel's tank was pumped out before it leaked into the water.
The tug was operated by Lakeshore Marine Construction. It has not been determined if Lakeshore Marine will have to pay a fine.
