YAKIMA--A group protests using tax money to fight wars.
The Yakima Valley Peace Advocates Network used to protest at the corner of Nob Hill Boulevard and 16th Avenue every month, but they stopped for a few months while President Obama transitioned into the White House.
On Sunday, they were back.
"Get people conscious to the fact that there's a huge amount of money and lives going into wars," Carole Sahlstrand, Yakima Valley Peace Advocates Network, said. "We think there's another way."
Protesters say they want money spent on wars to go to education, jobs or infrastructure.
