Donate Cell Phones for Victims of Domestic Violence
Recycling is nothing new... But in honor of Earth Day...you're asked to bring in something you may not have at the top of your list.
Domestic Violence Services of Benton and Franklin counties.. Along with other agencies are collecting used cell phones to be recycled or refurbished and handed out to community members who may need them.
"We work with other local providers who work with victims who are at risk and ya know... the more of these 911 cell phones we can actually hand out...the more of a life line it is to victims in the community." Says Kelly Abken of Domestic Violence Services.
No need to worry about your personal information on your phone, they will be cleared of all data before being given to anyone.
Non-working phones will be recycled and the money will benefit victims served by Domestic Violence Services.
You can drop off your old cell phone at any of your local police departments, or libraries, Domestic Violence Services in Kennewick and New Beginnings Thrift store in Richland.
