PASCO, Wash-- The man who accused Webster of raping him in a jail cell made the trip to the Tri-Cities to hear the jury's verdict.
He testified in court a few weeks back. He hopes this week is the end of the trial stemming from an alleged incident more than five years ago.
Webster has been acting as his own attorney since the trial started in early Aprli. Testimony got heated when the man took the stand accusing Webster of rape. He tells KNDU he's just looking for a bit of closure when the jury reaches a verdict.
"I've spent since he's been charged approximately four years of interviews by several defense teams, coming and going, being told I'm going to have the chance to testify then not," he says. "And going back and forth, finally I got the chance to testify. So it's been an extremely stressful time for me."
He says he's looking for justice. He adds if it is in fact a hung jury, or if it's ruled a mistrial, he would come back and re-testify.
