Pasco Police Looking For Person of Interest in Fatal Gang Related Shooting
PASCO, Wash.-- On Sunday, 38 year old Eutimio Vivero Martinez Junior of Pasco was killed while walking in the area of 14th Avenue and Agate Street in Pasco.
Neighbors say the area from 14th Ave. and Pearl Street to 14th Ave. and Agate Street, were blocked off for hours by Pasco police and SWAT Team.
Police say it was a gang related shooting. They've identified 16 year old Christopher Ruesga as a person of interest.
They say Ruesga has a tattoo of a spider web on his left arm and a woman with wings on his right arm. Police say Sunday morning there was another drive by shooting on this same block.
Neighbors say this area has become very dangerous lately.
"My kids were outside when this happened, it could have hit somebody else's house, or our house, you get drive by shootings and drug problems like you wouldn't believe around here," said Brandon Edwards, who lives in the neighborhood.
On Monday at around 1:00 p.m., Pasco police searched a house on the 3100 block of Pearl Street.
They were looking for their person of interest there, but he wasn't found at that location. Five teens were detained and questioned. Some were let go and some taken in for more questioning.
An autopsy for Vivero Martinez Junior is scheduled for tomorrow.
