Kennewick, WA- More than two-thousand people packed the Three Rivers Convention Center today to learn how the latest information technology could change their business and every day lives.
Lockhead Martin touts the company's annual IT Day as a day of discovery for local businesses, students, and anyone interested in learning how to implement new technology into their lives.
The theme of this year's IT Day is, "seize change."
IT Day Manager Jennifer Tuttle says the current challenges in the economy, the environment, and internet security can translate into great opportunities.
"Locally, we've been hit less than other areas. We're really fortunate in that," Tuttle says, "But that still means we have opportunities to grow and learn more about technologies, how we can grow them here in the Tri Cities, and that's really the whole point of Lockheed Martine hosting the event."
Lockheed Martin is currently the top IT provider for the federal government. The company has 400 employees in the Tri Cities.
