PROSSER, Wash.-- Three people are lucky to be alive and well after their car ended up underneath a semi-truck.
It happened just before 6:00 Wednesday night on I-82 near Prosser.
State Patrol troopers say a tire on the car blew out, causing it to veer off the road, then the driver over-corrected and got wedged under the semi-truck. To make things even more dangerous, the semi was carrying flammable materials.
The truck driver says he had no idea what happened, he thought maybe he blew a tire, until he looked in his rear view mirror and saw a car being dragged under his rig. Troopers credit him for driving safely to the shoulder of the road while the car was stuck to his truck.
