Stamp out Hunger Food Drive For Second Harvest Tri-Cities

Posted: Updated:

PASCO Wash - Second harvest of Tri-Cities and the National Association of Letter Carriers are partnering up to "Stamp Out Hunger."

Your mail letter carriers will pick up non perishable food items at your mail box Saturday.  All food will be donated to Second Harvest Tri-Cities.

"We see if you've got food that's set out there.... It can be set...if you have a collection box which is where you go get your mail... in a little locking compartment... you can hang it up at the box...or down below the box." Says Postmaster Dana Alderson.

You will also find food collection barrels at your local Albertson stores, Kennewick Red Apple Market, Safeway stores, Wal-mart stores and the Pasco Save-A-Lot store until may 11th.

In addition to food items, you may also make a monetary donation to Second Harvest Tri-Cities and place your donation in an envelope marked "Food Drive" and place it in your mail box.
