RICHLAND, Wash-- Kadlec Medical Center had its 15th Annual Safe Kids Saturday event. More than a thousand kids and their parents got to learn about everything from fire safety to poison prevention.
The Richland Police Department was also there taking kids' fingerprints. The organizer of the event says it's a great way to teach kids about safety before school let's out for the summer.
"We feel that this is an opportunity for parents to drop in for a half hour. There's bicycle helmet safety, bike rodeos, finger printing, and lots of things that will give parents something to take home," said Delt Clark, Kadlec Community Relations.
35 local agencies were in Kadlec's parking lot many also donated prizes and even Mother's Day gifts.
