Woman Hit By Car While Biking On Columbia Park Trail
KENNEWICK, Wash-- A woman is hit by a car while riding her bike. It happened Saturday morning on Columbia Park Trail near Edison St.
Police say 41-year-old Cindy Goulet was riding with a group when she was hit from behind. Officers have identified the driver as 31-year-old Troy Trusley of Kennewick.
He was arrested for investigation of DUI. He also had an outstanding felony warrant. Police say they are also trying to determine if he was speeding.
"You've got to realize when you come down to Columbia Park there's a reason for the speed limit being 25 because there's people all over, bicyclists, that's why we need people to go slow," said Sgt. Brian Swartswalter, Kennewick Police Department.
Goulet was taken to Kennewick General Hospital where she is in satisfactory condition. Trusley was booked into Benton County Jail.
