YAKIMA, Wash-- As of late Saturday night, at least two teenage boys are missing after their raft overturned on the Yakima River.
KNDO has confirmed that two boys have been rescued so far. Water rescue crews were stationed on bridges overlooking the Yakima River from Union Gap to Wapato.
The Yakima Valley Technical Rescue Team got the call around 8 p.m. Saturday. One boy was quickly found and another was located around 9 p.m. Their condition is unknown. Crews are still looking for the other two.
"At this point we just don't have much more information until we get a firm location on them we're just going to continue to search," says sergeant John Durand of the Yakima Sheriff's Office.
Sergeant Durand says all the boys were wearing life jackets.
