Two Confirmed Cases of Swine Flu in Yakima County

YAKIMA, Wash. -- Yakima Health District says there are two confirmed cases of Swine Origin Influenza Virus (H1N1) identified in Yakima County. Washington State Department of Health notified the Health District today. A spokesperson with the Health District says both patients, an adolescent and a young adult, are currently recovering. Health experts are still awaiting on eight other specimens from the State lab.

The Yakima Health District expects more Swine Origin H1N1 Influenza Virus cases to be indentified over the next few weeks. YHD will continue to monitor the situation and work to prevent the spread of the illness.
