Tri-Cities Teens Can Get Fit by Volunteering

Posted: Updated:

KENNEWICK, Wash. -- Local teens can get a summer's worth of fitness by volunteering a few hours of their time.

The Tri-City Court Club is teaming up with the Benton Franklin Volunteer Center to help teens stay healthy this summer. The program is open to youths age 14 through 17. For eight hours of volunteer work through the center, teens get a three-month summer membership to the Court Club.

The program also includes a fitness orientation and nutrition consultation. Access to the club is limited to 6 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Thursday and all day Fridays and Sundays.

Teens can also get the membership by donating $50 to the American Diabetes Association.

To sign up for volunteering or make a donation, call the Volunteer Center at 582-0631.
