RICHLAND, Wash-- You wouldn't think a technology and defense company like Lockheed Martin would be winning Emmy Awards, but they've been nominated and wining awards for several years.
Lockheed Martin has a media department in their Richland office that makes short videos about the exciting projects the company is doing all over the world.
This year some of their editors were nominated for two Emmy's in the video-editing category. One of the videos is called National Resilience, and the other is called Hearts and Minds.
These films help communicate Lockheed Martin's goals and objectives, not only to the public, but also internally.
The company has over 100-thousand employees worldwide. The producers and editors have traveled to Iceland, London, and many other places.
"It's always fun to take an idea and work with a group of people, come up with a script, storyboard, then go out and make a story; go out and shoot video, see interesting places and meet new people," said Josh Pfenning, Lockheed Martin producer and editor.
The award show is on May 30th in Seattle and it's part of the Northwest Chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences.
