YAKIMA, Wash. - Several WSU Coaches stopped by Apple Tree Golf Course for the Cougar Golf Classic, which raises money for athletic scholarships. New basketball coach Ken Bone, AD Jim Sterk, and former cougar QB Mark Rypien were all on hand. Bone showed up, but didn't hit the course. "I have personally not golfed for six or seven years," he said. "I still wanted to be here and meet some people. I had a two over on one hole and decided that's it. I'm done." "We're out here supporting our Cougs," said Rypien. "Yakima has been a big Cougar Nation and to get the turnout they had today is great." Football coach Paul Wulff did not show up. Rypien said Wulff was out recruiting.
