YAKIMA--A controversial bed and breakfast is now open for business.
People living near the Rosedell Manor on West Yakima Avenue originally protested turning the historic home into a B & B, but settled with the owners last fall.
This weekend they had their first guests, and they're looking forward to hosting many more.
"Before we even opened we had about 50 nights booked," owner Paul Radke said. "That was just off the website and word of mouth. It [looks] very promising for our first year."
Right now Rosedell has four guest rooms, but Radke said the house isn't finished yet.
After he fixes the electrical wiring, he plans to renovate the carriage house, either for more guests or his own family.
