RICHLAND, Wash-- About a dozen trainees showed up to West Side church in Richland to learn about gleaning. Gleaning is the process of going over a harvested field to hand-pick any usable parts of the crop that remain. That food is then given to Second Harvest food banks.
Volunteers from Fields of Grace spent the night going over how important fresh produce is to local food banks.
If you missed the meeting and are interested in volunteering, there's another meeting on June 14th.
