Inventors & Entrepreneurs: Clean Tech Open Competition Comes to the Northwest
KENNEWICK, Wash.-- A clean energy competition is coming to the Northwest. It's called The Clean Tech Open Competition.
Monday afternoon, leaders met with people interested at the Tri-Cities Business and Visitor Center. The group learned about the competition.
The Clean Tech Open started in California about five years ago, and has been such a success, that it's expanding. It's a competition for companies, individuals, or students who have green ideas. It's for entrepreneurs and inventors who think they have the next cutting edge energy technology.
Past winners include a group that made energy efficient LED lights that have been used on the Oprah show and in the movie "Angels and Demons."
The deadline to enter the competition is May 30th. If you want more information about it, head to www.cleantechopen.com.
