Lockhard Attorney Wants Trial Moved Out of Tri-Cities
Pasco, WA- The attorney for a man accused of killing a Pasco teenager wants the trial moved out of the Tri-Cities.
Marnicus Lockhard is charged with manslaughter in the disappearance of 19-year-old Tiairra jo Garcia.
Although the woman's body hasn't been found, prosecutors say they believe Lockhard shot Garcia and dumped her body in a remote area of Mount Rainier National Park.
Today defense attorney Carl Sonderman says he plans to ask for a change a venue. Sonderman told Superior Court Judge Bruce Spanner he doubts an impartial jury could be seated in the Tri- Cities because of the media "feeding frenzy."
