Victory is Sweet for Students at Eisenhower High School
YAKIMA, Wash-- Victory is sweet for the students at Eisenhower High School. They celebrated the voter approved school bond with an ice-cream social.
Currently, the bond is passing with 68% approval. Mail-in ballots are still coming in, but 68% is a strong lead.
Davis and Eisenhower students worked hard to make voters aware of the $114-million bond.
"You know we did not rock the vote, we stomped the vote. I could not be more excited," said Principal Stacey Locke, Eisenhower High School.
There was plenty of ice cream to go around, 2,000 ice cream bars were purchased for Wednesday's celebration. Locke said she's impressed with the work the students did and thankful for the community support.
