YAKIMA--Memorial Day seems to mark the start of summer and the summer travel season. But, what we're seeing so far is that bus and air travel in and out of Yakima is actually slowing a bit.
A local Greyhound employee told KNDO they haven't had many reservations for this weekend.
Overall, their numbers are on the decline this year.
A Horizon Air rep told us not as many people are flying in or out of Yakima as in years past, but one other business is doing quite well.
"For this weekend we're looking at maximum loads," Warren Gay, Airporter Shuttle, said. "We're in fact adding and upgrading from minies to full coach."
Gay said the airporter has seen a 12.5 percent increase in travelers over last Memorial Day.
If you do want to travel and haven't made plans yet, all three businesses say tickets are still available.
