YAKIMA--Saturday was a busy day at Tahoma Cemetery. Hundreds off people stopped by, dropping off flowers and flags to remember loved ones they've lost throughout the years.
Friends, parents, children; hundreds of people visited the cemetery, honoring veterans for their service in the military and remembering their lives.
Some grave sites were more festive than others, but people visiting today say they're not just here for their loved ones.
They're here to honor and remember every veteran.
"The sacrifices they have done for us and those out there now need to be remembered what they're doing," Shannon Weatherford said. "While we're here enjoying life they need to not be forgotten."
Tahoma Cemetary is the resting place of hundreds of veterans from the Yakima Valley from young to old.
Saturday, these flags and flowers show that many people were out here paying their respects.
