Pasco Looking for 2nd State Title in 3 Years

PASCO, Wash. -- In state soccer, West Valley will play in the state semis along with Prosser and Connell this weekend.

And of course, undefeated Pasco will try and win its 2nd state title in 3 years. Saturday, Marco Acevedo and the Bulldogs edged the Kamiak Knights 3-2 to move on.

The Bulldogs take on Woodinville Friday at 8pm in Lakewood. The team is ranked 1st in the state and 2nd in the country.

But the Bulldogs know the rankings don't matter this time of year.

"I think that they realize that if you work hard it doesn't really matter what the rankings are," says Bulldogs Head Coach Mike Pardini. "Working hard in practice is something that we've been keying on. I think just the day-to-day kind of stuff, making sure we get in front of the goal as much as possible and finishing the opportunities that we get is important."
