Veterans Remember Fellow Soldiers at Tahoma Cemetery

YAKIMA, Wash.- Yakima Veterans huddled at the Tahoma Cemetery in Yakima to honor those who have died for our county.

U.S. Representative Doc Hastings was one of the guest speakers, along with members of the Veterans of Foreign Wars organization.

VFW Chairman says this year they had a bigger turn out than before. Many of the people attending were supporting soldiers at war right now, in addition to those who fought in the past.

"Just to say hey people appreciate what you do and what you've done and you don't have to agree with the way but just say thank you for serving," said Lonnie James, Commander for the local VFW.

After the ceremony, people walked around the graves, adding flags and flowers to empty graves and giving thanks to those who served.
